Dear parents, guardians and pupils,
I hope you are all keeping well! Here is a list of work for the week 30th March to the 3rd of April. -Spellbound- week 26- (all activities A-H) -Master Your Maths- week 26 -Read a novel of approximately 100 pages or more and write a review using the template I gave or writing a copybook page to page and a half. -The 4 assigned activities on mangahigh.com. I set up an account for everyone in the class on mangahigh.com. It is a maths-focused website for schools where the boys can go online and complete tasks which I will assign each week. There are lots of fun games and activities covering all aspects of the sixth class maths curriculum. I will also be able to monitor each of the boys' progress and give feedback on the work done. To start off this week, I have assigned four assignments- one on fractions and three on shapes. When the boys click on the assignment, they should press the big 'Teach Me' button and then once that is finished to click the 'Play' button. It is encouraged on the website for the boys to attempt each assignment three times to get a proper understanding of the topic. If the boys get the assigned work completed, encourage them to play their own games of choice on the website! There will also be a leaderboard for the boys to compete with each other! Login details for each of the pupils will be sent out to parents through text. Give it a try! I am very conscious that these are stressful times and I don't wish to add extra burden to you but rather a support. If you have any questions, concerns etc., difficulty logging in or you want to send me your son's work, please don't hesitate- [email protected]. Best wishes, Robert Brennan. Dear parents, guardians and pupils,
I hope that you are all keeping safe and well. Last Thursday, the 12th of March, the boys were sent home from school with work to complete up until the 29th of March. Below is the list of work which I assigned to be completed by the 29th of March. When the full list is completed, it can be sent to me by parents on the school email- [email protected] to be graded OR I can collect and grade it in person when school returns. If school does not re-open on March the 29th, I will update the list of work each week and I would ask you to check the updated list. I understand that this is a stressful and unclear time for us all and I do not wish to put added pressure on you or your sons however, it is important to maintain some degree of structure to help us to best get through this uncertain time ahead. The boys have worked so hard so far this year and I ask them to complete at least the three assigned pieces of work below to best ensure that this is maintained. The assigned work for the week 23rd-27th March includes: - Spellbound, week 25 (all activities- A to H) - Master Your Maths, week 25 (Monday-Thursday) - Book review- on any book with at least 100 pages (or there abouts). They were given a template to complete however if they misplaced the template or would rather not use it, they can write a copybook page to page and a half review on what the book was about, the characters, their likes, dislikes etc. Here is also a list of activities which the pupils can do to help pass the time if they wish: Phone an elderly relative for a chat. Tidy your room. Learn to tie shoe laces. Help out by offering to a household chore everyday. Drawing (there are great step-by-step tutorials on YouTube) Participate in a skill challenge everyday. For example-
