October 'Student of the Month' and 'Hidden Hero'!
A massive congratulations to our 'Student of the Month' and 'Hidden Hero' for October! Keep up the excellent work! :)
The Halloween Party!
We celebrated a great first two months in sixth class with a highly anticipated Halloween party!

In the run up to the midterm, we created four Halloween-themed artworks.
- Firstly, we drew pumpkins by following a step-by-step guide from YouTube, coloured them, cut them out and stuck them on to a black A4 canvas.
- Secondly, we created a bat silhouette by painting a sunset and tree scene and then sticking on a black bat to the tree branch! The colour blending from red to orange to yellow here was so effective!
- Thirdly, we designed Halloween prints. To print, we cut out paper templates of different Halloween themed characters/objects, placed these templates on the black canvas and with a sponge, dabbed the paint on and around the template and finally lifted the template to reveal our prints! These turned out great!
- Finally, we worked as engineers to design our own pumpkins from card. We cut the orange card into four strips measuring 2cm in width. With the four strips, we folded them over to meet each other in a spherical shape and then added designs by cutting out green and black card.
