Welcome to 3rd class
Daily Mile
The boys have been participating in the Daily Mile since Christmas.
Our aim is to complete a Mile every day. This acts a great form of Physical Activity for the boys and gives their minds a break from class for 10-15 minutes.
We are running this on top of our Daily 10 @ 10 and our Walk on Wednesday as a healthy body means a happy mind.
We are hoping to shave some time off our mile records as the year progresses.

Procedural Writing
We focused on Procedural Writing for the month of February. The boys learnt about the concepts of organisation and language features of a procedure before putting writing their own.
On Pancake Tuesday, we wrote a procedure on making pancakes before we cooked and enjoyed some for ourselves.

Youth Club
The boys have enjoyed getting creative and working in teams at the Youth Club every Thursday. This is a facility that we are very appreciative to be able to use.
Forces- Gravity and Air Resistance
During the winter, our focus for Science was on forces. In one particular area, we focused on Gravity and Air Resistance and the effects these have on each other.
The boys worked in groups to make parachutes. They used different designs and materials to show which parachute glided for the longest time and was the most suitable for a Sky Diving company.
